Told in Gold started with a simple observation: the things most worth saying are the things people find hardest to say out loud.
Most of us are better at buying a gift than at explaining why we bought it. So we build the explanation into the gift. Every piece we make arrives on a printed card carrying a message written for one particular person — a wife, a mother, a son, a friend who has held you together more times than they know. The jewellery is what she wears. The card is what she keeps.
What we make
Our pieces are polished stainless steel, finished in 14K white gold or 18K yellow gold. That combination is deliberate. Solid gold is beautiful and largely unwearable day to day; costume plating looks lovely for a fortnight and then does not. Gold-finished stainless steel sits between the two — it holds its colour, survives showers, sleep and washing up, and still reads as fine jewellery across a dinner table.
Cubic zirconia stones are cut and set by hand. Chains are adjustable. Nothing in the range needs special handling, because a gift that lives in a drawer is not really a gift.
Made after you order it
Nothing is produced until someone asks for it. Your order is made, paired with its message card, and packed into the box you chose — standard, or the mahogany-style luxury box with an LED spotlight. It arrives ready to hand over. Nothing to assemble, nothing to wrap.
The trade-off is honest and worth stating up front: because each piece is made for one person, we cannot accept change-of-mind returns. Choose carefully, ask us anything beforehand, and we will help you get it right the first time.
What we promise
Tracked delivery on every order. If anything arrives damaged, faulty or wrong, we replace it free and you keep the original — no forms, no posting things back. And a real person answering the emails, usually the same day.
If something is not right, tell us. We would much rather fix it quietly than have you regret the gift.
